The Emera Oval Pavillion: The Emera Oval is a large ice skating surface the size of three NHL hockey rinks located on the Halifax Commons. It is open to the public for use year round, used by ice skaters during the winter months, and by runners, and cyclists in the summer months. Originally built for the 2011 Canada Games, the oval was preserved in the Halifax Commons for public use.
RBC Waterside Centre: The RBC Waterside Centre is a nine-story retail and office building surrounded by the reconstructed facades of Halifax Heritage buildings at the ground level. The structure is insulated with Icynene® MD-C-200® closed-cell spray foam insulation with special attention paid insulating the inside of the historic facades. The RBC Waterside Centre achieved LEED® GOLD Certification in February 2016. MJM Energy was awarded Icynene’s Best Commercial Retrofit Project of 2013.
EON Square: EON Square is 50-acre plot of land on Innovation Drive that includes the former BlackBerry site between Highway 102 and Hammond’s Plains Road. With a number of spaces being created for many purposes some of which include, six or seven LEED® Gold Certified free standing office buildings, a business class hotel, retail spaces, dining, and much more. To acheive the goal of LEED® Gold Certified, MJM has applied spray foam as part of the building envelope requirments.
Halifax Regional School Board Building: Located at 33 Spectacle Lake Drive, Dartmouth, the HRSB Central Office was insulated with Spray Foam insulation by MJM Energy.
100 Eileen Stubbs Ave: The former home of the NSGEU at 100 Eileen Stubbs Ave was professionally insulated by MJM Energy with top quality Spray Foam.
Maple: A stunning, urban 21 story building located at 1583 Hollis Street, made up of high end rental suites. MJM Energy installed Spray Foam to help Maple reach its target of LEED® Gold Certification.
Southport Condos: Southport is a modern condo building at the south end of Barrington Street. Part of the building is being sold, part of the building is being leased. The entire building was professionally insulated by MJM Energy using Spray Foam.
DND DRDC Atlantic Research Centre: The Defence Research and Development Canada Atlantic Research Centre conducts research and development in support of operations acquisitions, maintenance and requirements planning by Canada’s Navy and Air Force. This facility accommodates laboratories, seminar rooms, secure discussion rooms, shielded computer areas, and a new mechanical prototyping (heavy engineering) lab. With MJM Energy’s application of Spray Foam, among other sustainable construction choices, this building is seeking LEED® Silver Certification.
Seagate Construction Inc.: At 306 Cutler Avenue in Dartmouth, NS you will find the Seagate Construction building which was insulated by MJM Energy with Spray Foam.
Full Throttle Power Sports: The home of all the best BRP toys located at 399 Cutler Avenue in Dartmouth, NS was insulated with Spray Foam by MJM Energy.
LeMarchant Place: A Dalhousie University multi-use building that includes a residence for over 300 students. In combination with several green building materials, practices and MJM Energy’s installation of Spray Foam insulation, LeMarchant Place is currently a LEED® Gold Certification Candidate.
Dalhousie Student Union Building: MJM Energy installed Spray Foam at the Dalhousie Student Union Building during its renovation to help bring its efficiency up to the same standard as the stunning aesthetic design.
Amherst Dodge Dealership: MJM Energy insulated this building with Spray Foam during its construction.
The Cape Breton Highland Arts Theatre: MJM Energy installed Spray Foam insulation above the dome shown in the photo below.
The Malthouse: Was insulated with Spray Foam from the very start. This building makes local malt that is used in local craft beers and more across Nova Scotia.
Bayers Lake Canadian Tire: During it’s renovation the Canadian Tire in Bayers Lake was insulated with Spray Foam.
Maritime Inn – Port Hawkesbury: This inn was insulated by MJM Energy with Spray Foam.
Northside Community Guest Home: Was professionally insulated by MJM Energy using Spray Foam.
